FeaturesAccounting and profit
Books that keep themselves.
Every sale, refund and supplier delivery posts its own balanced journal, so your ledger is up to date without any typing. Add your expenses and see what's left at the end of each month.
What you can do
Automatic journals
Sales with VAT, cost of goods as the kitchen uses stock, refunds, commissions and supplier deliveries, each posted as a balanced entry.
A ready chart of accounts
A standard restaurant chart of accounts, set up for you.
Ledger and trial balance
Open any entry to see its lines, check the trial balance, and export CSV files for your accountant.
Expenses and monthly profit
Record expenses in nine categories with a receipt, and see money in, money out and what's left each month.
Paymob settlements matched
Upload a Paymob settlement file: each line is matched to a payment, differences are flagged, and fees are booked.
A role for your accountant
Give your accountant their own login to the finance pages.

- No. Spice-ey records VAT on every sale, but it doesn't issue ETA e-invoices or e-receipts.
- Can I connect Xero or QuickBooks?
- There's no direct connection. You export journals and the trial balance as CSV files.
- Are journals kept on the lower plans too?
- Yes. Journals are posted on every plan, so when you move to Restaurant your history is already there.
