What Spice-ey is
Spice-ey is a restaurant operating system made in Egypt. One system runs a food business’s own online ordering site, point of sale, kitchen display, delivery, inventory, accounting, loyalty and AI tools, in English and Arabic.
Who it’s for
Home kitchens, bakeries, cafés, restaurants, cloud kitchens and groups with several branches. Small businesses start with an online store; bigger teams add the point of sale, kitchen display, inventory and staff tools. See businesses on Spice-ey.
What it includes
- A branded ordering site for each business: pickup, delivery and table QR ordering.
- A point of sale in the browser, in English and Arabic.
- A kitchen display, and delivery zones with hand-off to the business’s own riders on WhatsApp.
- AI menu import from photos, PDFs and spreadsheets, with Arabic translation.
- Inventory, recipes and food cost, purchase orders, stock counts, waste and menu engineering.
- Accounting: a double-entry ledger, profit and loss, and payout reconciliation.
- Loyalty points and stamp cards, catering quotes and surveys.
- Table reservations, booked online on the business’s own site (Pro and Restaurant).
- An AI owner brief and assistant, and agent access for outside AI assistants.

Annual billing is arranged with our team. Spice-ey takes no commission on orders through a business’s own store; card payments carry the payment provider’s own fees. Details are on the pricing page.
Payments
Customers pay the business directly: in cash, by card through the business’s own payment provider (such as Paymob), or by InstaPay or bank transfer. Spice-ey doesn’t hold merchants’ money.
Devices
The point of sale and kitchen display run in a web browser, and the point of sale saves an order on the device if the internet drops while it is being charged. The Spice-ey for Business app for iPad and Android is in final testing.
AI
AI features use Anthropic’s Claude models: menu import, English–Arabic translation, an owner brief and assistant, and draft replies to reviews and campaigns. On Pro and above, owners can also connect outside AI assistants to their workspace through MCP. Owners check AI output before it reaches customers.
Where and in which languages
Spice-ey is available in Egypt. Storefronts, receipts and customer messages work in English and Arabic. The Console is in English today, with Arabic coming.
Data
Spice-ey’s database runs in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, every page is served over HTTPS, and each business’s data is kept separate. Owners can download their orders and customers from Console on every plan, and we export anything else, such as the menu, on request. When an account closes, its data is deleted within 30 days, apart from records the law requires us to keep. See your data on Spice-ey, security and the Privacy Policy.
